20th Premier League title and the cup is back home once again

Glory glory Man united, Glory glory Man united, Glory glory Man united, As the reds go marching on on on!

Just like the Busby Babes in days gone by, We'll keep the red flags flying high, Your gonna see us all from far and wide, Your gonna hear the masses sing with pride.

United, Man united, We're the boys in red and we're on our way to Wembley!

Manchester United sit 13 points clear at the top of the table, bookmakers have paid out on them regaining their crown and victory tonight against Aston Villa will see them officially take the title - but Alex Ferguson has something more to play for tonight, and for the rest of the season.

With five games of the season left, United have 81 points and need 15 more to break the record of 95 which was set by Chelsea in 2004/05. A strong finish to the season will also see them pass their own Premier League era record of 92.

"If we get to 96 points I'd be absolutely delighted," said the Manchester United manager. "That would be a fantastic season."

Come on UNITED!!!

Manchester United v Liverpool

Manchester United 2 Liverpool 1. Old Trafford, Sunday Jan 13th, 2013.

Entertaining game, if of slightly lower quality than you'd hope for a Manchester United v Liverpool game. United were in charge of the first half but a Sturridge-led Liverpool were massively improved after the break. Let us collectively take our hats off for Brendand Rodgers for sorting his side out at half time. Let us also take off our hats for United hanging on to a precarious lead. And for their strikers, RVP and Welbeck, who were both great.

D-Day!!!

D-Day!!

Manchester City, the FA Cup holders, flying high with money to burn in the transfer window. Fergie on the ropes with a depleted squad and injuries building up. This game takes on monumental stakes as the battle for supremacy in Manchester marches on.

Manchester United 8 Arsenal 2: Crushed and humiliated! Wenger in crisis as Rooney runs riot

Wayne Rooney scored a hat-trick and his hair is stunning!

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley says his young Premier League leaders are full of self-belief after their stunning start to the season. Cleverley, who is keeping more illustrious names on the bench with his sustained excellence in central midfield, said the 8-2 mauling of Arsenal at the weekend showed just what Alex Ferguson's fresh-faced side are capable of achieving.

"It's a pleasure to play in a performance like that, with world-class players. I see in training that we have it in our locker. When it all comes together, it's pretty exciting. We're a young, high-energy team and, hopefully, if we keep putting on performances like that, the trophies will come." Tom Cleverley.

Old Trafford: 100 Years at the Home of Manchester United: The Official Story

In the Edwardian era, Manchester was the workshop of the world and its leading football club, Manchester United, was one of the best in the land. Unfortunately, its stadium at Bank Street did not reflect its aspirations. So the directors took the brave decision to build a spectacular new stadium to reflect the club's, and the city's, status. On 19 February 1910, Old Trafford was open for action. Ian Marshall tells the astonishing story of the hundred years that followed. From early triumph, through inter-war depression, Old Trafford saw it all. But when the ground was twice bombed during the Second World War, its entire future was in question. However, under the inspirational managership of Matt Busby, both the team and the ground were rebuilt, and a new era of dominance was ushered in in the 1950s, only for United to be once again struck down by Munich. Speaking to players, employees and fans from across the years, as well as original research into the United archives, Marshall explains how Old Trafford has remained central not just to United but to the fortunes of an entire city. Old Trafford is the definitive story of an iconic venue.

Alex Ferguson led the celebrations along with his wife and grandchildren, after his team claimed a record 19th league win.

United captain Nemanja Vidic said "It's a special day for us and the fans to give them this today."

Manchester United manager Alex said "Anyone criticising this team was being ridiculous. All that nonsense about this not being a great United team. It's a great feat. We had some disappointing performances away but at home we've been fantastic."

The Green & Gold campaign

The Green & Gold campaign symbolises Manchester United supporters desire to rid the club of the Glazer family. Instead of the traditional red, fans can don the colours of Newton Heath, from whom United was formed. Under the umbrella of the Manchester United Supporters and Independent Manchester United Supporters Association, Green & Gold is a clear statement to the Glazer family, we don't want you, or your £700 million debt that threatens the very existence of our club.

An emotional night for David Beckham's return to Old Trafford with AC Milan, with the crowd greeting their old hero with a standing ovation. The anti-Glazer campaign rose to new levels on the night and Beckham responded to this by walking off the pitch wearing the green and gold of the LUHG campaign. All of this video was seen and filmed by a United fan in the north stand.

Old United Road (North Stand)

Old Trafford - United Road

This is a great picture of the old 'United Road' or North Stand as seen in the 1970s. Over 10,000 fans could pack into the lower standing terraces, with the famous 'K' stand to their left, high in the corner of the old Scoreboard End.

1988 - The Famous Stretford End

1988 picture of the Stretford End
Manchester United's home ground is the most famous and impressive football stadium in the world. It is full of history. Looking from 'United Road' this is a wonderful picture of the famous Stretford End. You can clearly see the extra 3000 red seats that were added to the back of the Stretford End, allowing some lucky Stretford Enders to watch Manchester United in greater comfort.

The Scoreboard End

Old Scoreboard End
The Scoreboard End faces the Stretford End, and is the East Stand at Old Trafford. It was home to the diehard K-Stand United fans (many whom relocated to the Stretford End after changes were made to the ground). It also housed the 'away' fans enclosure in the South-East corner of the ground. It was formerly known as the Scoreboard End, because of the large scoreboard that resided until the late 1960s. In the 1970s an electronic scoreboard was installed.

Stretford Enders Song by Burke and Jerk 1977

This catchy song was written in 1977 for the Stretford Enders to sing.

This is the chorus:
Stretford Enders, we are, we are... zigga zagga zigga zagga oi oi oi..!!
Stretford Enders, we are, we are... zigga zagga zigga zagga oi oi oi..!!

and some great lyrics:
"Sitting on the same coach where I sat was 5 supporters from the other team,
they said our lads couldn't play for peanuts and Lou Macari was a fairy queen.
I said do you wan' it, you can have it if you wan' it, nobody calls our Lou a clown.
By the time we reached our destination, the others was 5 supporters down"

"next day in court the judge said, 'son these laws weren't made to scoff',
I didn't mind you running on the pitch but you shouldn't have took your clothes off - 6 months!"
